Traditional Idli



IDLI  ITEMS 
TRADITIONAL NORMAL IDLI
INGREDIENTS:
Boiled rice -  5cups
urid dhall  -  1cup
salt        -  2tspn
oil         -  1tspn
PREPARATION METHOD:

1.Put theboiled rice in a bowl,clean with water for 4 times.soak rice in water for 5 hours.
2.Take another bowl and put urid dhall clean it 3 times,soak dhall in water for 1hour.
3.After 5 hours wash the soaked rice another time and drained the water.
4.In grinder put the drained rice pour a cup water,grind till it gets nice[not very nice it must be little course.]
5.Grind uriddall without draining water.[water must be limit]grind till gets very nice paste. Pour water a little by little and grind]
6.Now add the grinded rice and grinded uriddhall in a big bowl,add salt and mix it very well,keep the bowl closed with a lid.
7.After 8 to 10 hours the grinded mixture is ready to make idlis.
IDLI MAKING METHOD:
1.Take a idli plate or anyother plate with one inch height and put a drop of oil and rub it evenly around the plate.
2.Now take the prepared grinded batter and mix gently for few seconds.
3.Put the idly  in batter the oiled plates. 
4.Let it steamed in a pressure cooker or idli vessel for 10 minutes without visil.
5.Take the plate out ,using spoon take idlis from the plate.
    Now tradional and delecious idlis ready.
[NOTE; For idli there is lot of chutneys and sambar as sidedish.]
